Taunton Station Collection
18th December 2009 to 10th December 2005

Taunton Station has changed a lot over the years, but has always provided a good location in order to record various workings passing through or stopping at the station.
It's also one of the most conveniante places to visit for many of the nocternal services that run during the hours of darkness.
Taunton therefore has an extensive gallery of various trains over the past few years.

 The 3rd January saw a special charter operate between Plymouth and Finsbury Park to transport Plymouth Argyle fans to a 3 -1 defeat away against the mighty Arsenal in the FA Cup, Argyle fans were treated to Double Class 67 haulage all the way to London on an express non stop service from Plymouth. Included in their haulage was Royal 67005 'Royal Sovereign' which regularly transports members of the Royal Family to engagements around the UK. A mixed rake of Ex Virgin Trains and Anglia Mk2 coaches was supplied, nicely formed to at least make two matching halves split by only a Maroon Buffet Car. The train passed through the Taunton area In splendid frosty winter scenes and good sun. As an added piece of interesting trivia 67019 has not been seen at Taunton for the past two years, so it's exceptionally nice to be able to record this locomotive on Taunton Trains again!
